Our Story

At Palmetto Psychology Clinic, we specialize in supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and the complex emotional transitions of motherhood.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, not quite like yourself, or unsure why this season feels harder than you expected, you’re not alone, and we’re here for you.

Our practice was founded by psychologists Julia, Kayla, and Caroline, who met as first-year graduate students at the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium (pictured here at a 2016 Stanford football game).

The three of us were roommates in an apartment complex called Palmetto. It wasn’t just a place we lived — it was where we supported each other through the challenges of grad school, shared ideas late into the night, and helped each other grow.

We didn’t expect was how much our friendship would enhance the work we did with our clients, and ultimately shape the kind of therapists we became.

Because when you’re surrounded by people who truly listen, challenge you thoughtfully, and care deeply about your well-being, it changes how you show up for yourself and for others.

That’s why at Palmetto, our story of friendship is woven into everything we do.

We believe therapy works best when it’s rooted in genuine connection. When you feel safe enough to be honest. When you trust that your therapist really sees you. That’s why our clinicians don’t just bring expertise in pregnancy and postpartum mental health. They bring a deep commitment to the relationships they build with their clients.

Our mission is simple: to help you feel more like yourself again so you can really enjoy (not just survive) this season of life.

We do this through compassionate, specialized, evidence-based therapy that meets you where you are, whether you're navigating pregnancy anxiety, postpartum depression, fertility challenges, or the ever-changing emotional demands of motherhood.

If you’re here, something in you is ready for things to feel different, and we’d be honored to support you.
