Kayla specializes in supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating a wide range of concerns, including stress, trauma, anxiety, identity exploration, and challenges related to social injustice. She uses evidence-based practices that emphasize resilience, values, and personal goals, tailoring her approach to each client’s unique needs. Her work integrates behavioral, mindfulness, and systems-based strategies.

She earned both her Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium. She completed her residency at the VA Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center and her post-doctoral fellowship with the Stanford Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She is trained in evidence-based practices, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure.

Kayla offers relational, compassionate, and flexible therapy for individuals, couples, and families. At the heart of her practice is culturally attuned psychotherapy, which she believes is essential for fostering safety and trust within the therapeutic relationship. She understands that recognizing the cultural, social, and generational contexts of her clients is key to creating an empowering space for reflection, insight, and growth. Her goal is to build a secure, trusting relationship with each client, guiding them toward a rich and meaningful path forward.

In addition to clinical work, Kayla enjoys teaching, training, and consulting work.

Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending time with friends and family, immersing herself in nature, traveling, and getting lost in a good fantasy novel.
